David was absolutely instrumental to my success during the first six months of my role as CEO. Throughout my entire career, I have been blessed to have the right people step in at the right moments, and David is no exception. David helped me untangle complicated thoughts and emotions, while keeping me calmly focused on my primary objectives, so that I was empowered to navigate a number of difficult and unfamiliar challenges. Throughout our time together, David gave me the tools and the support I needed to leverage the strength of the team around me, to appreciate the opportunity in front of me, and to embrace the confidence within me.

David recently provided our company with transition services after a senior IT Director left with little notice. He was able to quickly come in, assess the situation, provide guidance on our existing processes and mentorship to our personnel. He also helped revise our position description, conduct interviews and identify a replacement candidate. David’s effective communication and interpersonal skills helped the entire team adjust to what would otherwise have been a very difficult transition.

I really cannot say enough positive things about David Alison. He is a very talented technologist, but more importantly, a very insightful thinker that has both practical knowledge as well as big-picture perspective. David has been a mentor to me in many ways. I sincerely credit him with helping me make some critical decisions that have turned out to be fantastic ones. David consulted with our team during a time of rapid product acceleration, and while his contributions to our product have been valuable and extensive, I cannot overstate just how valuable his contributions have been to my management practice as well. David's vast experience in the software development space opened my eyes to new ways to approach problems and improved my team's ability to develop solutions for our customers. His avuncular, kindhearted demeanor engendered trust and respect between us, and over time David has become a trusted advisor and friend.

Dave is one of my go to advisors. He's smart, compassionate, and he has the rare ability to connect the dots and understand complex situations. He's a brilliant tech and business mind. As CEO of a voting company, I learned a lot from how Dave built his survey software company. He was an early player in DIY software and SaaS.

Working with Dave Alison has been a highlight of my career. When we first met, I already had over 20 years of leadership experience under my belt, and yet he showed me new ways to lead and inspire; things I may have never considered previously. He was also able to challenge old assumptions I carried (many bound up in ego) in a way that I could hear without falling into defensiveness. He is a servant leader in the deepest sense. His leadership made me a better leader and a better human. The inspiration he provided me continues to guide my choices and manifest in the performance of my teams. I can only hope to work with Dave again.

There are very few people in my life and career that I have learned more from than Dave. Dave is a true visionary that has an amazing ability to lead and teach while also being an expert in business and technology. What I appreciate most about Dave is his ability to listen. He is able to diagnose problems and make recommendations because he is such a great listener and communicator. Dave always led by example. He was the hardest worker in the room and set the pace by doing what he expected me to do. His consistent display of excellence in his work is his greatest legacy of mentorship to me. Dave was always able to help guide and teach me in a gentle but direct way. I truly appreciate his impact on my life, career and passion for photography. Many of his ideas and overall guidance shaped the trajectory for my business. He is such a great leader, teacher and mentor - I cannot recommend him highly enough.
